With industry recognition for interrelated wireless communications and location technologies, Redpoint’s founders saw the potential of combining their knowledge to address advanced high-precision RTLS (Real Time Location Systems) and sensor networking applications needs. They foresaw how the power of a robust and responsive wireless network combined with precise asset tracking could help create the digital future across many industries.
Early adopters of RTLS and UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) technologies were being forced to make tradeoffs between accuracy and cost. Recognizing the opportunity to break through these cost/performance barriers, Redpoint founders developed the architecture and underlying innovation; inventions that would enable companies worldwide to realize new efficiencies and capabilities in the complex and moving industrial world.
Redpoint founders developed the world’s first IEEE 802.15.4a compatible UWB-RTLS prototype, then developed and launched the patented RTLS platforms the company offers today.
Redpoint is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts with offices in Beijing, China and Kharkiv, Ukraine.
